Garmo
Privacy Policy
Garmo is a garment-workshop management tool. Your work is kept on your device and synced to Garmo's own cloud backend so it follows your account.
Last updated: July 27, 2026
This policy explains how Garmo (“the app”, “we”), published by SEEN Code, handles your information. Please read the section on syncing carefully: Garmo is not a purely on-device app. If you create an account, your workshop data is uploaded to a server we operate.
Account information
Garmo requires an account so your workshops can follow you across devices. To create one you provide:
- Your email address, and
- A password you choose.
These are sent to our authentication service to create and sign in to your account. We also email you a six-digit code when you sign up or reset your password, in order to confirm that the address is yours. We do not use your email address for marketing, and we do not sell or share it.
Your sign-in tokens are stored on your device in the iOS Keychain, not in ordinary app storage.
Workshop data we store and sync
Everything you enter in Garmo is saved on your device first, and — while you are signed in — is also uploaded to our backend as a single record for each workshop, so the same workshop opens on your other devices. That record includes:
- Your business details: workshop name, business type, currency, invoice address, payment details, invoice terms, logo and payment-QR images, and your settings.
- Clients: names, companies, phone numbers, and addresses.
- Orders, quotes and invoices: the client's name, company, phone number and address as recorded on the document, line items, descriptions, sizes, quantities, prices, discounts, notes, due dates, and deposit and payment dates.
- Production, stock and money: your catalogue, materials, stock levels and stock-movement history, and your expense records.
- Team members: the names, roles and device PINs of the people you add to a workshop.
- Activity history: a recent log of what was done in the workshop, by which team member, including the client names involved.
- Photos you attach (see below).
This data is used for one purpose only: to store your workshop and make it available to you on your own devices. We do not mine it, profile it, sell it, or share it with anyone for advertising.
Where your data is hosted
Garmo's backend runs on Supabase, a third-party cloud platform, on our behalf as our data processor. Your workshop records are held there in a database protected by row-level security, so that only your signed-in account can read or write them. All traffic between the app and the backend uses HTTPS.
Garmo does not use Apple iCloud or CloudKit to sync your data. Earlier drafts of this policy said it did; that was incorrect, and this version describes the app's actual behaviour. Because the data is held on our infrastructure rather than in your personal iCloud account, we — and our hosting provider — are technically capable of accessing it. We access it only when strictly necessary to operate the service or to resolve a support issue you have raised with us.
Photos
Photos you add — garment and design references, material shots, your logo, and payment-QR images — are stored on your device and uploaded to our file storage so they appear on your other devices and in the invoices you produce.
Please note: these image files are held in a publicly readable storage bucket. Each file is given a random, unguessable web address, and the files are not listed or browsable anywhere — but anyone who has or obtains a photo's address can open it without signing in. This is what allows an exported invoice PDF or a shared link to display its images. For that reason, do not use Garmo's photo fields for images you would not be willing to have viewed by someone holding the link.
Camera and photo library
Garmo asks for the camera when you choose to photograph a garment, design or material. When you add an image from your library, iOS's own picker hands Garmo only the specific images you select. Garmo does not browse, index, or scan your photo library.
Team PINs
The PINs you set for team members let people switch between roles on a shared workshop device. They are stored as part of the workshop record and are synced with it. Treat them as a convenience lock rather than a security credential, and do not reuse a PIN that protects anything else.
What we do not do
- We use no analytics, advertising, attribution, or crash-reporting SDKs. Garmo ships with no third-party tracking libraries of any kind.
- We do not track you across apps or websites, and we do not build advertising profiles.
- Garmo never requests your location and never accesses your contacts, calendar, microphone, or health data.
Client information you enter
Garmo stores your clients' names, companies, phone numbers and addresses so you can produce quotes and invoices. That information belongs to you and your business, and it is synced to our backend as part of your workshop record as described above. You remain the controller of your clients' data and are responsible for handling it lawfully, including telling your clients about it where the law where you operate requires that.
Payments
Garmo Pro is an auto-renewing subscription sold through the Apple App Store. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple. We never receive or store your name, card, or payment details. Apple's handling of the transaction is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Data retention and deletion
- Delete a workshop: deleting a workshop in the app removes it and its stored record from our backend.
- Sign out: signing out clears your session from the device and leaves the local copy in place; your workshops remain on your account.
- Delete the app: removing Garmo deletes its on-device data, but does not by itself delete anything already synced to your account.
- Delete your whole account: open Settings › Account in the app and tap Delete account. This permanently erases your account, every workshop on it, and all uploaded photos, on every device. It cannot be undone. If you would rather we did it for you, email karls3223@gmail.com from the address on the account.
We keep your workshop records for as long as your account exists, because they are the app's working data. We do not retain copies after deletion beyond what remains briefly in routine backups.
Children
Garmo is a business tool and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data we hold about you. Most of this you can do directly in the app, since the data is your own working record. For anything else, write to us at the address below.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
