Installing

Unzip and drag Kite into your Applications folder.
The first launch asks for Local Network access — Kite needs it to see the devices around you. Without it the app opens but finds nobody.
Microphone and camera are asked for only when you place your first call.

Same Wi-Fi. Your Mac and anyone else running Kite on the network see each other within a few seconds.
Direct. With no router at all, devices link peer-to-peer over Wi-Fi.
Off-grid. A mesh over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth that relays through other devices, so a file can reach someone your Mac cannot see directly.
Drag files onto a person to send them, or onto the Kite mark to send to everyone in the room.

Nothing is uploaded and there is no account to make. Files and messages travel directly between devices on your own network. See the privacy policy.
